چکیده
Abstract For pulse compression characteristics and not easily affected by noise, linear frequency modulation signal are widely used in underwater acoustic communication. This paper analyzes the characteristics of hyperbolic frequency modulation signal over underwater acoustic channels. Compared with linear frequency modulation signal, hyperbolic frequency modulation has the same performance of strong anti-noise and anti-multipath, what’s more, hyperbolic frequency modulation signal is better resist the influence of doppler. And discussed the influence of doppler on signal, simulation results show that the hyperbolic frequency modulation signal detection rate is better than linear frequency modulation signal in the doppler environment.

Implementation of an adaptive burst DQPSK receiver over shallow water acoustic channel
In an environment such as underwater channel where placing test equipments are difficult to handle, it is much practical to have hardware simulators to examine suitably designed transceivers (transmitter/receiver). The simulators of this kind will then allow researchers to observe their intentions and carry out repetitive tests to find suitable digital coding/decoding algorithms. In this p...
متن کاملEffect of porosity on the characteristics of underwater acoustic sound absorbers using theoretical models
Porous materials have good acoustic damping characteristics over a wide frequency range. As for sound waves, many small-scale pores in the coating materials can convert underwater-coating to rough surfaces. The main property of porous absorbents is their resistance against incident sound wave that leads to damping effect. From a physical point of view, damping occurs due to friction between flu...

Performance evaluation of high frequency (20-24 kHz) underwater acoustic waveforms such as CW, LFM and HFM was carried out theoretically in the presence of white Gaussian noise, multipath and Doppler. Measured sound speed profiles off Indian coast were used in ray based models Bellhop and VirTEX to mimic the environment with multipath and Doppler. The source signals were convolved with channel ...
متن کاملOn the Practical Aspects of Joint Passive Phase Conjugation and Equalization Underwater Communication Systems
Underwater acoustic communication systems suffer from the channel impairments which results in time spreading of the transmitted signal. In underwater environment, multiple replicas of the transmitted signal are received at the receiver through different paths, which causes significant Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI). Decision Feedback Equalizers (DFE) was utilized to overcome this type of inte...
